We advise and represent clients doing business in a wide array of industry verticals including technology, international trade, banking and financial services, infrastructure and real estate, besides others.
About the Job
You will be working at the intersection of law, finance, and data. Your core responsibility will be to work alongside lawyers and consultants by managing and analysing financial and numerical data related to client matters, and towards building legal defences.
Key responsibilities:
- Work on financial datasets received from clients – clean, structure, and validate the data
- Prepare spreadsheets for analysis of fund flow, end-use, reconciliations, customer payments, etc.
- Create reports, summaries, and charts from large Excel files
- Coordinate with external accountants or client finance teams to seek clarifications
- Present findings to lawyers in a digestible, logical manner and build defences
- Assist in preparing annexures for legal submissions
- Maintain audit trail of all financial data handled internally
Apart from the above, you would be frequently working on internal financial and operational analytics, documentation and evidence support, due diligences, forensic analysis, and other organizational activities.
Requirements
- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA Level 2 or strong B.Com (Hons) with analytical expertise
- 1–3 years’ experience in financial/data analysis roles
- Excellent command over MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, conditional logic, formatting, besides other features)
- Strong logical thinking and pattern recognition
- Ability to manage large data volumes and draw actionable insights
- High ownership and time management
